Cozigo Review: The Must-Have Baby Bassinet Cover for Long-Haul Flights?
When I realised our flight to Japan would be 14 hours long and take place during most of CJ’s daytime, I panicked — how on earth was I going to get him to sleep?
That’s when I discovered the Cozigo blackout cover, and honestly, it was a game-changer.
I’m sharing this review to help other parents who, like me, are searching for travel-friendly baby gear that actually works. This isn’t sponsored — just one mum’s honest take on what helped us survive (and even enjoy!) a long-haul flight with a baby.

What is the Cozigo?
The Cozigo is a portable blackout cover designed to fit over airline bassinets and prams, helping your baby nap in bright, busy, or unfamiliar environments. It blocks out light, reduces stimulation, and adds a layer of privacy — a must-have when flying with a baby.
What I Loved
The Cozigo fit easily over the airline bassinet and kept CJ cocooned in darkness. On a daytime flight, this made a huge difference — he managed a 4-hour stretch of sleep, which felt like a parenting win.
It’s lightweight, packs flat (once you’ve practiced), and created a calm space for him to rest without cabin lights or distractions from other passengers.
It also gave us a bit of privacy, shielding him from curious glances as people walked past — something I didn’t know I’d appreciate until we were actually in the air.
What Didn’t Work So Well
Folding it back up was tricky. I practiced at home, but when it came time to pack it away onboard — with the flight about to land and CJ starting to fuss — it took longer than I hoped and felt a bit overwhelming. I’d definitely recommend getting comfortable with the fold-down process before you travel.
While Cozigo is marketed as a universal pram shade, we didn’t really use it with our pram, and since I’d found it so complicated to close up, I decided to not use it for on the go naps when we were travelling.
Is the Cozigo Worth It?
If you’re planning a long-haul flight with your baby, want to support better naps in bright environments, or need a versatile blackout cover for both flights and holidays — the Cozigo is absolutely worth it.
It’s now a staple in our travel kit and one of the few pieces of baby gear I’d genuinely recommend to other parents tackling air travel.
Final Thoughts for Parents (and Why I Wrote This)
I remember how many questions I had when planning our trip — and how hard it was to know which travel products were actually worth it. I hope this post helps make your decision a little easier.
If you’re prepping for your first flight with a baby, or wondering how to get your little one to sleep mid-air, I hope this gave you a clearer idea of what to expect from the Cozigo — and whether it’s right for your journey.
Brand note
This review is based on a product I purchased myself, with no sponsorship or gifted items. I’m sharing my honest experience to help fellow parents make informed travel choices. That said, if you’re a brand representative from Cozigo (or work with products that support baby sleep while travelling), I’d love to connect and explore ways we can work together — whether that’s content creation, UGC, or collaborations that help parents travel more confidently.
